Diplo’s most important performance so far hasn’t been at a festival or concert — it was for his son’s recent kindergarten graduation.
Diplo hopped on social media to share footage of himself controlling the vibes at his son’s graduation event as all manner of miniature humans (and their parents) grooved to the song he was playing.
As the song played, Diplo asked the kids if they were ready to “get crazy.” When the beat dropped, Diplo and the kids jumped up and down in a G-rated version of a rave that the whole family could enjoy.
In text placed into the video, Diplo wrote, “Adding my son’s kindergarten graduation to the list of most important sets of my career.” In the caption for the video, Diplo added, “most exclusive party of the year.”

In other recent Diplo news, the musician recently alerted other artists that they need to “adapt” to using AI in their creative process. While speaking on the Behidn The Wall podcast, Diplo made it clear that he believes that those against AI are fighting a losing battle as the technology becomes more widely adopted.
“You’re not going to win,” Diplo said. “There’s no fighting AI. You have to just work your best to be the best at it right now. You’re wasting your time. You’re wasting a year being like ‘ahh’ because everybody else is going to just use it and not give a fuck what you think.”
On X, Diplo doubled down on his sentiment by reposting a clip from the podcast and adding more thoughts. “if you are a creative you need to adapt or just like give up and become an uber driver until everyone has a waymo,” he wrote. “I know it’s not cool or classy to speak like this but i’m not gonna candy coat the future - it is what it is . sorry for bad new’s my purist . there will always need a human mind and touch because ai will never suffer from bipolar disorder and autism like me and other creative people 🤪.”
