DaBaby has called "fake news" on anything involving his name and politics, seemingly denying that he’ll be performing at a MAGA-themed Valentine’s Day event.

Conservative YouTuber CJ Pearson and a sect of young President Trump supporters known as the Cruel Kids Table recently announced an event called MAGA is in the Air to take place on February 13, with DaBaby as a special guest.

The Charlotte rapper, however, took to X on Saturday (January 24) to seemingly suggest he wouldn’t be performing there — although, he didn’t actually flat out say he wouldn’t be at the event.

"Anything mentioning my name & politics right now is fake news," he wrote. "Don’t take the bait!"

DaBaby’s post also referenced his new track, "Pop Dat Thang," and his upcoming album #BeMore Grateful, which is supposed to come out on January 30.

In other recent DaBaby news, the rapper was captured on camera earlier this month, seemingly ready to beat up a fan for heckling him at an NBA game.

A fan recorded himself singing the rapper’s hit song "Suge" to get his attention at a Charlotte Hornets game. Then, he told the rapper, "your shirt is little" — prompting DaBaby to ask the cheerleaders to lift him up to the stands to whoop on the heckler.

The fan ended up apologizing, so all ended well in that situation.

Staying on the subject of the rapper's Hornets fandom, he expressed his loyalty to the team in December when he made a fan take off their Chicago Bulls jersey before taking a picture with him.

When asked for a picture by two fans, DaBaby demanded they remove the jersey before snapping a flick. The fan quickly obliged the rapper’s request, much to his approval.
