Cardi B says that her “gorgeous” new partner is why she hasn’t been her usual clap-backing self.
The rapper, known for not letting hate slide from social media users, has been oddly quiet recently. In a recent X space, she revealed her reason for not clapping back is because of who’s clapping her cheeks.
“You know when you got a gorgeous n***a loving and fucking you from head to toe?” Cardi asked, per Baller Report. “It’s like, I don’t give a fuck what anybody say when you got a real fine n**ga that loves you from head to toe.”
Cardi ended her brief explanation by calling her new partner “gorgeous” again. You could practically hear the floating red hearts swirling around her head.
Cardi’s been rumored to be dating NFL player Stefon Diggs after the two were spotted together at Coachella and other previous outings. Her ex, Offset, seems to be supportive of Cardi’s new relationship, writing “I’m happy for her,” after a fan claimed that he was probably “punching air” now that she’s happy.
Back in March, Cardi aired out Offset’s dirty laundry by claiming that he sent her threatening messages after they broke up.
“He’s upset because I sent his girlfriend messages of him begging me, saying he was going to take away his life, saying he was going to take away my life,” Cardi alleged.
Cardi also claimed that Offset had been working his hardest to interfere with her love life. “He sent a text message to somebody I was dealing with of us having sex,” she added.
Perhaps we’ll hear all about Cardi’s new relationship and past issues on her upcoming album which she recently hinted will be “messy."
In a recent carpet interview at the Revolve Festival, the rapper gave some new details about what to expect on her long-awaited sophomore LP. "I feel like my album is messy,” she hinted. “She's a messy queen."
