Boosie Badazz wants Elon Musk’s help to get rid of his diabetes.

The rapper took to Musk’s platform, X, with a message to the owner about getting his hands on the cure for diabetes. “Just saw this video where Elon Musk is saying something about curing diabetes in 17 hours,” wrote Boosie in all caps.

“Elon, please get someone to contact my assistant so we can get more information on this,” Boosie continued. “I really want to get this sickness out my body in 2026.”

Though there’s no way to tell, Boosie may have seemingly been tricked by AI deepfakes of Musk that featured him saying he has discovered the cure for diabetes. Engadget reported on the growing phenomenon back in March, where numerous Facebook pages shared deepfake advertisements to sell questionable supplements.

Musk isn’t the only well-known person starring in these fake ads. Others include Oprah Winfrey, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and former Utah Senator Mitt Romney.

Engadget spoke to Snopes reporter Jordan Liles about the purpose of the videos. “There are a lot of different ‘blood sugar support,’ type 2 diabetes, reverse diabetes, sort of scams out there these days,” said Liles. “It's the same sort of process you might see with other scams in that they start with an ad, they go to a long video on a website, and then they want you to order the product. And they want you to believe everything that you just saw is real.”

Musk, of course, doesn't have the cure for diabetes. In fact, in 2022 he revealed that he used the diabetic medication Wegovy as part of his diet plan.
