Boosie Badazz has made it very clear how he feels about the new "Fuck the Streets" movement.
On Saturday (December 20), the Baton Rouge rapper took to X to share a lengthy message in all caps directed to the rappers who are denouncing the streets.
"IF THE RAPPERS GO SAY FUCK THE STREETS YALL NEED TO STOP RAPPING BOUT EM‼️STOP DOUBLE DIPPING ‼️," Boosie wrote. "RAP ABOUT FRUITS, COLLEGE COURSES N STAYING OUT THE STREETS✅"
Boosie continued his message by expressing his belief that rappers from the streets owe their lives and personalities to it.
"IF U FROM THE STREETS THE STREETS SHAPED YOU TO THE MAN U R TODAY. YOUR MINDSET, YOUR HUSTLE, YOUR INTUITION etc. COME FROM THE STREETS ‼️," Boosie wrote. "YO SUPPORT CAME FROM THE STREETS‼️YES I WANT EVERY KID TO MAKE IT OUT THE STREETS 'THATS WHAT WE ALL WANT 'BUT IM NEVER SAYING 'FUCK THE STREETS'. THEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR SUCCESS‼️"
To conclude his thoughts, Boosie wrote that "every successful independent record label" started out because of the "the streets," and demanded that if these rappers want to push this agenda, they go ahead and remove "the streets" from their vocabulary.
The "Fuck the Streets" movement was sparked from a recent conversation on X between 21 Savage and Young Thug.
Savage reached out to Thug, writing: "@gunna @youngthug Yall n***as fix that shit. Yall love each other n***a you knew gunna wasn’t no gangster when he told the first time and we swept it under the rug for you you know he wasn’t tryna leave you to hang n***a fuck the streets we ain’t get shit but trauma from that shit."
Thug responded by repeating three words that Savage wrote to him: "Fuck the streets." So far, rappers like Pooh Shiesty, YFN Lucci, and G Herbo have posted those words as well.
21 Savage's "Fuck the Streets" movement seems to have also led to him squashing his supposed beef with Future. After the two seemingly took shots at each other on X, Savage wrote: "I apologize my brother I should have called you first… Us!!!"
