If there’s ever been any question about which NBA team that ASAP Rocky supports, he wants to make it clear that he’s all for the New York Knicks.
Speaking to GQ’s Sasha Mutchnik in what appeared to be a celebratory setting after the Knicks went up 2-0 in the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, Rocky detailed a level of fandom that’s one step deeper than being a Knicks supporter.
“I’m from New York, sweetheart,” said Rocky. “I ain’t no Knicks fan. I am a Knick.”

Rocky isn’t a bandwagon Knicks fan either. Last month, the rapper was spotted hooping with fans to celebrate a Knicks playoff series win.
After the Knicks finished off the Detroit Pistons after Game 5 at Madison Square Garden last month, Rocky commemorated the occasion by playing around with fans outside of Melba’s restaurant in Harlem. When the "Crowtown Express” Knicks bus pulled up to the restaurant, Rocky got his hands on a basketball and hooped with fans.
Rocky even got into his Jalen Brunson bag and started dishing alley oops to fans who joined in on the fun.
In other Rocky news, the rapper recently expressed his confidence that he could out-rap New York City’s mayor (and former rapper) Zohran Mamdani.
In a conversation with Vibe, Rocky called out the mayor playfully. “Mamdani ain’t fucking with me. Listen, I'm already coming for his spot 'cause I'm about to be mayor,” Rocky said.. “So listen, if he want to battle, we could do that. If he want to have a little debate, we could do that too, man.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Rocky opened up about the emotional fallout from the scary shooting that occurred at the home he shares with Rihanna.
“It was fucked up. It was hurtful,” Rocky said. “It was scary, all that shit. Somebody attempted at me and my family. That shit was just fucked up and it was unprovoked. It was out of nowhere."
