Ariana Grande is shocked — and happy — that Vogue somehow gave her six fingers in her latest cover for the magazine.
Grande is front and center on the cover of Vogue Japan with one of her hands holding a wall for a pose. Fans were quick to point out that in the picture (that has since been corrected), she has an extra finger. This led to suspicions that AI — notorious for being unable to deal with hands — was being used to fine tune the image.
Instead of being upset at the modification, Grande played along with the picture by expressing astonishment and excitement.
“Holy shit,” she wrote on Instagram. In a separate comment under the post, the singer wrote, “oh goodness how exciting ! i’ve been saying I need some extra appendages so that i can start an album ! thankful for this.”
Now that Vogue Japan has given her an extra finger, Grande might want to ask for another extra body part if she wants to make more music. Earlier this month, the singer refuted claims that she would release new music soon by saying she’d need another brain to make that happen.
After fans online began speculating that she was gearing up to release music ahead of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, thanks to comments she made during an interview, the singer hopped on Instagram to push back on the way they were framed.
“Welp, I never said ‘but soon enough’ or mentioned any months! lol my goooooodness,” she wrote in a comment before letting everyone down slowly.
“Ma’am i would need an extra brain and four more arms,” she added, responding to another comment.
In other Grande news, the singer is nominated for two awards at the 2026 Grammys, thanks to Wicked: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Defying Gravity” and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
