As the public awaits updates on the investigation into human remains found in a towed Tesla registered to singer d4vd, social media speculation continues to be fueled by resurfaced footage.

Now, footage from a d4vd show in Maryland, said to have been captured in August, is receiving renewed attention due to some on social media questioning whether it shows the now-deceased Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The video shows an individual, whom some have argued looks like Celeste, at a show in the Silver Spring area.

Silver Spring, Maryland was one of the stops on d4vd’s Withered-promoting world tour. In a report about the unconfirmed sighting claims, TMZ pointed out that the individual seen in the clip is wearing a tube top, the same type of attire mentioned in previous reports about the victim’s attire.

The claims of this being a legitimate sighting, however, remain unconfirmed.

On Sept. 8, LAPD officers responded to a tow yard after reports of a “foul odor coming from a vehicle.” Found inside the vehicle, quickly reported at the time to be registered to d4vd, were human remains. The body was later identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

In their most recent statement to Complex, an LAPD rep confirmed that Robbery-Homicide Division detectives executed a search warrant in connection with the case. Per the rep, “several items of evidence” were taken from the scene.

Over the weekend, a candlelight vigil for Celeste was held in her hometown of Lake Elsinore. As of this writing, a suspect in the case has not been publicly announced. Earlier in the investigation, it was reported that d4vd was “fully cooperating” with authorities. He has not been charged with a crime.

The body was confirmed this week to have been released to the family.
