Tyler, The Creator is ready to ponder whether he’ll “ever really tour again” after wrapping a world tour in support of Chromakopia, one of two acclaimed albums he released less than a year apart.
In footage from a tour-closing show in Quezon City, shared by HotNewHipHop, Tyler is seen speaking to an undeniably lively crowd about what he’s looking forward to after bringing this chapter to a close.
“I’m excited to go home and think about if I’ll ever really tour again, because I’m fucking not 20 no more,” Tyler said, as seen below. “I can’t lie to y’all. I’m at that part of my life where, man, I’ve done enough. Let me go take a very, very, very, very long break.”
Tyler went on to express gratitude for “the energy” given to him and openers Paris Texas in the Philippines.
“We really appreciate y’all,” he said.
DON’T TAP THE GLASS, Tyler’s ninth album, arrived in July. Next, fans will see Tyler sharing the screen with Timothée Chalamet in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme, also starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A'zion. The film, marking a departure for Josh after a run of critically revered projects with brother Benny, is set for a Dec. 25 theatrical release through A24. The studio is also behind Benny’s own solo feature The Smashing Machine, starring Dwayne Johnson as Mark Kerr and opening Oct. 3.
