Though it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who watched the HBO docuseries The Defiant Ones, the staying power of Dr. Dre has been proven once more with Forbes' newly released ranking of the highest-earning musicians of the decade.
Dre tops the list with $950 million, with the accompanying report noting that the celebrated producer's stake in the sold-for-billions Beats empire gives him quite the boost here. Taylor Swift, meanwhile, lands at No. 2 with $825 million ahead of Beyoncé at No. 3 with $685 million.

Notably, the decade list doesn’t count artists whose estates continue to make money after their death, with Michael Jackson highlighted in the new report as the artist who "would be No. 1" with a $2.37 billion total for the decade if post-death earnings were included.
