The Weeknd Shares Major Lazer Remix of "Blinding Lights"

Abel also dropped an "intermission video" for the Uzi remix of "Heartless."

The After Hours era now includes a link-up with Major Lazer.

The Weeknd has shared a Lazer-crafted remix of album single "Blinding Lights," which you can stream up top via YouTube and/or via the service of your choice. Abel also shared a video for the previously released "Heartless" remix with Lil Uzi Vert:

Diplo, one-third of the Lazer team, was recently involved in the discourse surrounding comments Abel made about Usher's "Climax" in an interview with Variety.

"I heard 'Climax,' that [2012] Usher song, and was like, 'Holy fuck, that's a Weeknd song,'" Abel, whose comments were later followed by Usher's #ClimaxChallenge, said. "It was very flattering, and I knew I was doing something right, but I also got angry. But the older I got, I realized it's a good thing."

Later, Diplo—who produced the Usher track—took to Twitter to share his assessment of the Weeknd's influence on the sessions. The production, he explained, indeed "lends itself to" the House of Balloons era.

"When I heard those early records, they blew my mind," Diplo said, adding that the wanted to bring the idea of R&B with "dark edges" into the Usher track.

After Hours, meanwhile, remains the No. 1 album in the country for the third straight week.
