Sexyy Red has bestowed upon Owen Wilson the honor of being referred to as “my baby” following his appearance at this weekend’s Rolling Loud festival in Miami.

As you’ve no doubt seen by now, a clip from the flagship proceedings captured Wilson in the crowd for Sexyy’s set, with the Golden Globe-nominated actor and Oscar-nominated writer looking particularly transfixed during a performance of “Hellcats SRTs” off last year’s Hood Hottest Princess project.

“Dats my baby Owen,” Sexyy later wrote on X when reacting to the widely shared clip.

This wasn’t Wilson’s lone appearance at the 10th anniversary edition of the festival. At one point, he took the stage alongside Travis Scott, who co-headlined this year’s Miami throwdown alongside Future and Playboi Carti.

Worth a mention here is that this was all part of the filming process behind the recently announced comedy Rolling Loud, starring Wilson as, per Deadline, “an overprotective father” who opts to sneak his teen son into the festival. The Midnight in Paris and Zoolander star is joined in the cast by Matt Rife, who was also spotted amid 2024 Rolling Loud festivities this weekend. In the film, Rife plays a co-worker of Wilson’s character.

A release date for the film hasn't been announced. It's also unclear whether Sexyy herself will wind up in the final cut, or La Flame for that matter, though it's hard to imagine the filmmakers behind the comedy not capitalizing on the plethora of potential cameos.

For Sexyy, the Rolling Loud set and viral Owen moment serves as a fitting sendoff for a banner year. In addition to rolling out her In Sexyy We Trust project, featuring the “BBL Drizzy”-flipping “U My Everything,” Sexyy was also recruited for what will no doubt go down as one of the most unforgettably unique songs of 2024, i.e. Tyler, The Creator’s “Sticky.” The marching band-inspired Chromakopia cut also features GloRilla and Lil Wayne, giving fans an addictively great song on an album full of them. Put another way, it’s been another excellent year for new music.
