M.I.A. has announced a new album, titled M.I.7, that’s set to be released before she hits the road with Kid Cudi.
Per press notes, the album, backed by M.I.A.’s own OHMNIMUSIC label, features seven songs that were “written in seven places” over a period of seven days. Featured on the album is the gospel group Sunday Service, a name that should be familiar to fans of the artist formerly known as Kanye West.

In tandem with M.I.7, M.I.A. is also launching a second wave of her OHMNI clothing line. As she explained in a statement shared alongside Tuesday’s album announcement, so-called “protection fabrics” are again at the heart of the new pieces. The brand previously made headlines with its 2024 launch of a “tin foil hat.”
Starting April 28, M.I.A. will be on the road as part of Kid Cudi’s Rebel Ragers tour, which is also set to feature Big Boi. The tour opens in Phoenix before eventually making its way to Austin, Birmingham, Atlanta, St. Louis, Toronto, Los Angeles, and elsewhere. See a full list of dates below.
MATA, M.I.A.’s most recent studio album, arrived in 2022 via Island Records. At the time, it had been six years since that album’s predecessor, AIM, which peaked at No. 66 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Last year, she released two standalone singles, “Armour” and “Safe.” Neither title appears on the M.I.7 tracklist.
