Meek Mill says “American media is totally unbelievable” following news of Jay-Z being named alongside Diddy in a swiftly disputed lawsuit.

As reported on Sunday, Jay was accused in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 alongside Diddy, who currently remains in custody in connection with a racketeering and trafficking case. In a quickly shared statement, Jay called the claims “idiotic” and referred to the lawyer behind them, Tony Buzbee, as a “fraud” and “deplorable human.” According to Jay, his own legal team previously received a demand letter from Buzbee, which he characterized as an attempt at backing him into a settlement.

“My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitably by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit,” a statement shared to Roc Nation’s X account reads.

When reacting to the initial news of the suit, Meek, a fellow REFORM Alliance co-founder alongside Jay and Michael Rubin, among others, pointed to the wave of social media reactions as an example of “programming.” Per Meek, it begins with a “false narrative” being pushed on such platforms.

“The goal is to start false narrative to create a matrix web …. If you can control the story line you can control the matrix …. American media is totally unbelievable!” Meek wrote in a tweet on Sunday, adding that he had seen the suit’s main disputed claim in question “300 times scrolling.”

Previously, Meek has taken issue with his name being mentioned in connection with Diddy, particularly amid larger discussions about the Bad Boy Records founder's impending trial.
