Fellow OVO Sound members Majid Jordan and Partynextdoor partner for the new single "One I Want." The track follows the April drop of Majid Jordan's "Phases," the duo's first official release since their self-titled debut in 2016. Partynextdoor, meanwhile, released the Colours 2 EP with G. Ry earlier this month.

Majid Jordan spoke with Complex ahead of the release of their debut album back in February 2016:
The Toronto duo, consisting of Jordan Ullman and Majid Al Maskati, opened up to Complex about their wide range of musical influences. The Majid Jordan sound—according to Majid Jordan themselves—is built on a foundation of elements taken from classic rock, house, disco, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone, and more.
As for a follow-up to their self-titled 2016 album, the release of "Phases" was preceded in April with a decidedly cryptic tweet:
Aside from a pair of new tracks, however, an official release date for Majid Jordan's sophomore album still eludes us.
Next month, Majid Jordan will join Frank Ocean, Nine Inch Nails, A Tribe Called Quest, Solange, Run the Jewels, Kehlani, Hannibal Buress, and many more for the FYF Fest in Los Angeles, California.
