Lupe Fiasco Drops New Album 'Drogas Light'

Lupe Fiasco has unveiled his new album 'Drogas Light,' the first in a trilogy.

To help us all cope with this bullshit snow, Lupe Fiasco has dropped his new album Drogas Light a day early. The 14-track album got the exclusive stream treatment from Billboard Thursday and adds even more mystery to Lupe's 2016 ponderings of retirement. Drogas Light, the first entry in a three-part series, sees features from Rick Ross, Ty Dolls $ign, Big K.R.I.T. and more.

"While Drogas Light signifies the beginning of the end for Fiasco, it represents how far he's come since he first entered the game and merely accents the intellectual breadth of the discography he'll leave behind," a Lupe rep toldBillboardDrogas Light is expected to be followed by Drogas and Skull, with Skull possibly (?) standing as Lupe's final album.

After being met with a wave of backlash last year for an "N.E.R.D." lyric in which he used the phrase "dirty Jewish execs," Lupe opened up to an audience in Denver about his career and the music industry at large. "[I] always hated music executives," Lupe told the crowd at Denver's Fillmore Auditorium in December. "Always. They were always big pieces of shit to me. I hated them."

Clarifying his artistic intentions, Lupe told the crowd: "I want you to be clear about our relationship. I don't do music for you. I do music for me."
