Lil Uzi Vert surprise-dropped his long-awaited Luv Is Rage 2 follow-up on Friday, gifting patient fans with 18 tracks fittingly represented with some extraterrestrial cult-themed cover art. The album's final moments are pleasingly punctuated with the track "P2," which—much to fans' additional surprise—serves as a lyrically reflective sequel of sorts to Uzi's breakthrough 2017 hit "XO Tour Llif3."
The society-bettering song sees Uzi revisiting the melodic elements of the TM88-produced blockbuster's chorus, flipping it for proper 2020 enjoyment to "I don't really care cos I'm done." Fans are also rewarded with some off-the-cuff words of love from Uzi near the song's end.
"I see all of you," Uzi says, thus ensuring I cry on this fine Friday. "I really appreciate you."
