The artist formerly known as Kanye West considers Jack Harlow one of the “top 5” of the current moment.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Ye shared a screenshot from Harlow’s recently released “Nail Tech” video, sharing some brief thoughts in the caption.

“This n***a can raaaaaaap bro And I’m saying n***a as a compliment Top 5 out right now,” Ye wrote, as seen below.

The prior evening, Ye’s IG served as the launchpad for the news that Donda 2 would “only be available on” the Stem Player platform. “Today artists get just 12 percent of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system,” Ye wrote in a post shared Thursday night. “It’s time to take control and build our own.”

Shortly after making the Stem Player announcement, Ye shared a possible tracklist for the new album, which—at least at the time the photo was taken—spans 22 tracks in length.

IG has also been the source of continued controversies in recent weeks. Amid criticism this week of his Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson-directed comments, Ye told fans that he was working on his communication. “I know sharing screenshots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim,” Ye said in the since-removed IG post. “I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be [a] good leader is to be a good listener.”

Below, revisit Harlow’s “Nail Tech” video, co-directed by Harlow and Frank Borin with an appearance by City Girls member Yung Miami.

Responding to Ye’s words of support on Friday, Harlow called this “one of the greatest moments” of his life.
