The artist formerly known as Kanye West has dropped off his new album Bully as well as the music video for his track “Father” featuring Travis Scott. The video was directed by Bianca Censori. In addition to Travis Scott, Bully features appearances from Andre Troutman, CeeLo Green, Peso Pluma, and Don Toliver.
The album, Ye’s first formally released solo full-length since 2021’s Donda (though Donda 2 was eventually released to streaming in 2025), was preceded by a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal in January in which he apologized to the Black and Jewish communities for his behavior in recent years. As you’ll recall, Ye at one point declared himself “a Nazi” on social media, plus made numerous other public remarks widely condemned as antisemitic.
But in the WSJ ad, he said he was “not a Nazi or an antisemite.” He also opened up about his struggles with bipolar disorder, as well as what he says was the long-undiagnosed impact of a car accident 25 years prior.
“I’m not asking for sympathy, or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness,” Ye said. “I write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.”
Closer to Bully’s release, Ye, echoing remarks made by others close to the project, affirmed to fans there would be “no AI” featured on his latest collection of songs. This came amid speculation on Reddit and elsewhere suggesting otherwise.
A slightly different tracklist was later shared to Instagram.
Bully, released in partnership with Gamma, is out now. At listening party events held on Thursday (March 26), fans were given early listens of the latest iteration of the project, revealing features from Travis Scott, CeeLo Green, Nine Vicious, and more. The version played at those events also included a sample featuring the voice of Donda West, Ye’s late mother.
Several earlier versions of the project, as previously reported, were shared by Ye last year alongside a short film starring Ye and Kim Kardashian’s son, Saint West.
Gamma, co-founded by Apple alum Larry Jackson, is also backing new music from Ye and Kim’s daughter, North West.
