Kanye West’s $500K Luxury Tank From ‘Jesus Is King’ Era Reportedly Sold to Reality Show Duo

A luxury tank owned by the artist formerly known as Kanye West has reportedly been sold to the Diesel Brothers, i.e. a reality show duo comprised of Dave “Heavy D” Sparks and Dave “Diesel Dave” Kiley.

Per a report from TMZ, Sparks and Kiley first got in touch with Ye several years ago in connection with plans for some truck-focused work. While those plans ultimately never materialized, “someone from Kanye’s team” hit up the two in October of last year to gauge their interest in purchasing the Donda 2 artist’s $500,000 Ripsaw EV2.

The vehicle—widely referred as a “luxury tank” of sorts—is not easy to come by. And while Sparks didn’t let TMZ know the exact figure of the buy from Ye, Monday’s report billed the transaction as a “sweet deal” of unspecified proportions.

Word of the luxury tank sale arrives two years after a Business Insider breakdown of the Ripsaw EV2, described here as a vehicle with militaristic origins and a final price tag that’s said to be contingent on the individual needs of a given buyer.

Fans will note that the Ye tank made an appearance in the fleet-assisted “Closed on Sunday” video, which was released amid the Wyoming-centered Jesus Is King era.

In November, an array of low mileage-possessing vehicles from Ye’s Wyoming ranch were reported to have sold for a combined total of $434,780 at auction. At the time, special attention was given to the selling of a 2019 F-150 Raptor that was said by TMZ to quite possibly represent the priciest such sale ever.

Of course, with the Donda 2 era now in full swing, all of this represents a mere footnote. Ye himself has announced a Feb. 22 release date for the sequel to the Album of the Year-nominated original, which arrived after a trio of performance art events last year. Until the record (exec-produced by Future) is finished, Ye has decided to ditch his phone.
