JP THE WAVY is making waves.
The Japanese rapper, whose penchant for daring style choices has also made him a name to watch in the fashion space, has been on one hell of a run since breaking out with his 2017 hit “Cho Wavy De Gomenne.”

Who is JP THE WAVY?
Over the past decade, Japanese rapper JP THE WAVY, has emerged as a major global player. “Cho Wavy De Gomenne”, released in 2017, has amassed more than 26 million views on YouTube with a Spikey John-directed video for its remix, featuring SALU.
On Spotify, he has multiple tracks topping, or nearing, 20 million streams, including 2023’s LANA-featuring “What’s Poppin,” taken from his and JIGG’s Hit Different project.
Last year, JP released WAVY TAPE 3, a 10-track project featuring appearances from LEX and Kaneee, among others. More recently, he joined SHIGGA SHAY and pH-1 for the single “OK CAN,” released earlier this month.
Who else has JP THE WAVY worked with?
On the music side of his dual pop cultural presence, JP has a long list of additional collaborators, including Ninety6miles; Mori Calliope; OZworld; ¥ellow Bucks; Benjazzy; and more.
Back in 2021, he bagged a feature on the official soundtrack for F9: The Fast Saga, placing him among household names like ASAP Rocky and Offset.
JP THE WAVY Is also known for his collaborative relationship with Takashi Murakami, with whom he formed the MNNK Bro project.
