Jay Electronica has fans convinced that new music may be on the horizon following the wide release of his beloved Act II: The Patents of Nobility (The Turn) album.

Indeed, as of this writing, Act II, which briefly had a streaming release through Tidal in 2020 following a leak, is available on all major streamers, i.e. Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, etc. A preceding mixtape, Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge), is also available on those platforms. Both projects carry the Roc Nation Distribution banner.

Jay-Z, Charlotte Gainsbourg, The-Dream, and more are all featured on Act II. As fans know, the album opens with “Real Magic,” featuring audio from the late Ronald Reagan.

As of this writing, Jay Electronica does not appear to have publicly commented on Act I and Act II's arrival on streamers. Roc Nation, however, directed listeners to both projects in a pair of recent X updates.

The HOV-heavy A Written Testimony was released to streamers in 2020, technically marking Jay Electronica’s debut studio album. That same year, as noted above, Act II, which at that time had been expected by fans for over a decade, was the subject of a leak.

More recently, Electronica popped up on “Just a Drop,” a track off Chance the Rapper’s STAR LINE album. For the song’s official video, Chance is credited as both director and director of photography. See it below.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
