More than $6 million in direct economic impact was generated with the 2022 edition of J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival in Raleigh.

In a press release shared Tuesday, it was revealed that this year’s fest—held across two days in April at Dorothea Dix Park—resulted in a combined attendance count of 80,000. The economic impact figure, meanwhile, is said to represent a “conservative estimate” comprised of tourism-related impact alone. The 2022 festival generated $6.7 million in direct economic impact within Wake County, per figures from the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Adam Roy, Dreamville partner and festival president, said Tuesday it was “unbelievable” to see the numbers showing the positive influence the event’s had on the region.

“My team and I continue to be awed by the overwhelming support we’ve received since closing out the second Dreamville Festival this April,” Roy said, adding that he and the team anticipate this kind of work continuing “for years to come.”

The 2022 Dreamville lineup featured Lil Baby, Kehlani, Fivio Foreign, BIA, Rico Nasty, T-Pain, Morray, Cole himself, and more. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the Dreamville Foundation and the Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy. The latter marks a partnership with the City of Raleigh and is intended to serve as a group focused on the preservation of Dorothea Dix Park.
