He makes hits, not sandwiches.
To be clear, the joys of a good great sandwich are limitless. A truly great sandwich—great, not merely good—can completely change your life and overhaul your entire worldview, at least for as long as it takes to ingest it and return to the crushing weight of reality. Still, there are those who would appear to be closed off to the possibilities of a temporary sandwich-induced escape from the woes of existence, no matter how many variations on the form are presented to them. Hitmaka, it seems, is one such individual.
In a clip from a soon-to-be-released Sited interview with Rah Ali, the producer is seen speaking about his alleged lack of experience when it comes to sandwiches.
“I’ve never ate a sandwich or nothing in my life,” Hitmaka said in the clip, as seen below. Amid playful pushback from the host, the 1-800-HIT-EAZY artist doubled and then tripled down on his statement. (For what it’s worth, this isn’t the first time Hitmaka has spoken out about allegedly not consuming sandwiches.)
“No, are you fucking crazy?” he said. “I’ve never had a sandwich.”
Presented with various options from the wide world of sandwiches, Hitmaka still stuck with his strict stance on the matter.
“I will never eat it,” he said before elaborating on other food options he has also (allegedly) never eaten.
“I’ve never had a sandwich, a hot dog, a hamburger,” he added. “I’ve never had McDonald’s. I’ve never had Wendy’s.”
These days, per Hitmaka, he’s “only” consuming food from the following categories: “seafood, sushi, and pussy.”
Having caught wind of multiple instances of people calling bullshit on and/or joking about his never-had-a-sandwich-in-my-life claim, Hitmaka responded via a comment left on a post from The Shade Room, like so:
To be fair, it’s hard to argue against the fast food part of Hitmaka’s remarks. While many are unfortunately forced to over-rely on affordable albeit unhealthy fast food options due to the very real financial hardships facing an increasing number of families, especially here in the States, those who are fortunate enough to have the means to largely avoid such establishments most definitely should. Or at least, they most definitely should most of the time.
Death comes to us all. There’s nothing wrong with living a little along the way, and there’s surely nothing wrong with woofing down a goddamn great sandwich while the world crumbles around us.
