Gucci Mane's New Album 'Mr. Davis' Has Been Delayed (UPDATE)

UPDATED 9/16/17: Gucci Mane has now confirmed the official release date of Mr. Davis. The album, fittingly, will be released Oct. 17. This means Gucci will be dropping a new album, a wedding special, and a Reebok collab all on the same day.

Well, my Friday is fucked. The release of Gucci Mane's Mr. Davis has reportedly been delayed.

According to a report from HipHopDX, Mr. Davis—originally slated for a Sept. 15 release—has now been pushed back a month to Oct. 13. At the time of this article's publication, Gucci Mane hadn't made an official announcement. His reps did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment.

Mr. Davis has already produced a handful of singles including "I Get the Bag" featuring Migos and "Curve" with the Weeknd.

Mr. Davis follows last year's back-to-back studio albums Everybody Looking and The Return of East Atlanta Santa. In May, Gucci Mane released the Droptopwop mixtape, produced entirely by Metro Boomin. BET announced this week that the project had been nominated for Best Mixtape at this year's Hip Hop Awards alongside releases from Cardi B, Juicy J, Playboi Carti, Tee Grizzley, and Yo Gotti.

Thankfully, the hotly anticipated Autobiography of Gucci Mane has not been delayed. The book sees Gucci Mane reflecting on his early childhood in rural Alabama, his formative years in the East Atlanta music scene, and the impact his stint in federal prison—during which he started writing what would become the book—had on his life. The Autobiography of Gucci Mane hits stores Sept. 19 via Simon & Schuster.

Gucci Mane also joins N*E*R*D, M.I.A., Young Thug, DJ Khaled, Noname, Virgil Abloh, Jaden Smith, Dreezy, and many more at this year's ComplexCon in Long Beach, California. The two-day, multi-platform experience kicks off Nov. 4. Don’t fuck up and miss it.
