GloRilla Shares New Song and Video "Internet Trolls"

GloRilla rolls out a new song and official video that she says was written, in part, to let people know there's "a world outside of the internet."

With her new track “Internet Trolls,” out today, GloRilla says she wanted to let people know there’s “a world outside of the internet.”

Per Spotify, production on the latest from GloRilla was handled by Hitkidd, whose previous credits include the Grammy-nominated “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).” For the track’s official video, GloRilla enlisted director Troy Roscoe.

“People, they don’t leave their house. They don’t get off their phone. They don’t go outside and see what the real world got to offer,” GloRilla said during a chat with Eddie Francis for New Music Daily on Apple Music 1 this week. “This the song, you know what I’m saying, to let people really know it’s a world outside of the internet. … Go explore it. So much fun.”

Elaborating further, GloRilla noted the internet’s capability of getting to anyone, although it’s important to ultimately know that such “trolls” are often consumed by self-hate.

“It’s just a lot of people trying to tear you down,” she said. “Some of them may hate they self, but they want you to hate yourself and you just got to know that it ain’t real.”

Elsewhere, GloRilla expressed gratitude for the recent “rollercoaster” aspect of her success and was also asked to name which songs she would personally like to see Rihanna perform at the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. Head to Apple Music for the full thing.

At this weekend’s Grammys, GloRilla is also on the lineup for the Recording Academy’s special segment celebrating 50 years of hip-hop. She’ll be joined for the LL Cool J-introduced moment by Big Boi, Missy Elliott, Future, Lil Wayne, Rakim, Scarface, and many more.
