Fat Joe and Remy Ma, no strangers to putting their collaborative chemistry on full display, have teamed up once again for the new track "Outta Control," out today.
The song samples DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince’s 1991 hit "Summertime," with Cool & Dre leading production duties. In the first verse, Joe compares himself to WNBA star Caitlin Clark ("Caitlin Clark with the rock, they say I’m stat-stuffing") and closes out with an echo-drenched "Rest In Peace, OJ." From there, we get a taste of "Summertime" before Ma enters, complete with a repurposing of the late Takeoff’s classic "Do it look like I’m left off 'Bad and Boujee?'" moment from a 2017 interview with Complex.

Joe has a new project on the way, marking his first full-length studio album since his and Dre’s joint Family Ties release in 2019. As for solo drops, the last time Joe rolled out a new studio album was The Darkside Vol. 1 back in 2010. What Would Big Do 2021 with DJ Drama, meanwhile, arrived back in 2021.
On the eve of the "Outta Control" release, STARZ announced that Joe would soon be seen as the host of the upcoming Fat Joe Talks interview series. The 30-minute format, per a press release, will see Joe hitting the road across the country for conversations with some of the "most influential" people in the U.S.
