UPDATED 7/17, 8:20 p.m. ET: Drake seemingly confirmed Sunday that something went down while he was in Sweden.

He shared a series of pictures and videos on Instagram, with the caption, “I wanna see Ibiza Chubbs fam….” One of the photos shows a paper from the Polisen, or the Swedish National Police Board, titled “Information for Those Suspected of a Crime and Subsequently Detained.” The document lists off a person’s rights, along with next steps, starting with an interrogation. Check it out below.

It’s still unknown if Drake was arrested for marijuana possession while partying at a nightclub in Sweden, as initially reported.

While rumors were flying on social media overnight positing that Drake had been arrested in Sweden, his team says that’s simply not true.

As seen via a sampling of tweets below, calls of “Free Drake” were swift in response to the quickly circulated rumor, despite no one from Drake’s team having confirmed its veracity. In short, the rumor purported that Drake and several security detail members had been arrested at a nightclub in the Stockholm area in connection with marijuana possession.

Per the Hollywood Reporter and other outlets, a rep has since stated Drake “has not been arrested.” Instead, he was said by the rep to have been in his hotel in Stockholm at the time.

Drake landed at Stockholm Arlanda Airport earlier this week, with local outlets noting he was later spotted in the Östermalm district.

Hours after the rumors started to circulate on social media, Drake himself took to his IG Stories to share a post that read, “3 the guys out the you knowwww.”

Drake is currently fresh off the announcement of the upcoming October World Weekend event. The three-day experience, which will be held in his hometown of Toronto and kicks off later this month, is expected to be followed in 2023 with an traveling version of OVO Fest in honor of its 10th anniversary.

Honestly, Nevermind—Drake’s follow-up to last year’s Certified Lover Boy—debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart upon its release last month. While much has been said of the album’s stylistic departure, one could also argue that the 14-track release is a full-length spiritual sequel of sorts to the oft-mentioned-hereScorpion cut “Summer Games.”

In other recent Drake news, the 6 god earlier this month linked up with the Backstreet Boys in his hometown for a performance of the group’s 1999 hit “I Want It That Way.” Speaking to the crowd about what the song meant to him, particularly in connection with a childhood crush, Drake called it “one of the greatest songs” ever written.

“She asked me if I would dance with her to the song,” Drake said when reflecting on the memory of turning 13 and being approached by his crush while BSB played in the background at his bar mitzvah. “It was the first time I ever felt acknowledged—like I had a shot at being cool. The song that she wanted to dance with me to was one of the greatest songs of all time.”
