Though October unfortunately came and went without a surprise Iceman drop, there’s no question that Drake and company have been very busy.
This is apparent in Wednesday's unveiling of a new digital experience for Drake’s lifestyle brand October’s Very Own, marking what the team considers “the first major milestone” in a three-year global transformation strategy.
“This launch marks the beginning of a new era for OVO online,” Drex Jancar, OVO CEO, said in a statement shared with Complex. “It is where our culture, collaborations, and community converge, and where we will continue to build what is next.”
The redesigned OVO platform, available here, aims to give fans what’s billed as “a fully connected ecosystem” bringing together “community, culture, content, and commerce.” However, the OVO team makes it clear that this isn’t merely a “refresh” for the site, pointing out that it should instead be viewed as a larger evolution of OVO’s digital presence moving forward.
On the horizon for OVO are a number of high-profile collaborations, including projects with the NFL and Marvel. Drake, meanwhile, has been consistently updating fans along the road toward Iceman, his first new solo album since 2023’s For All the Dogs.
Several presumed album tracks have been released in recent months, including “Dog House” featuring Julia Wolf and Yeat. Speaking with Complex in September, Wolf said she was “so excited” to be a part of the track.
“It’s so fun to see our two worlds collide,” she said at the time. “It’s insane to have such an impactful artist like Drake even ask for me to be involved.”
