Watch Drake and 21 Savage Get Robbed in Explosive Video for ‘Her Loss’ Track “Spin Bout U”

The romance-focused track is a highlight off Drake and 21 Savage’s ‘Her Loss,' which topped the Billboard 200 albums chart back in November.

The Her Loss chapter of Drake and 21 Savage’s collaborative journey expanded even further today with the rollout of a new video.

This time, Dave Meyers is at the helm for the duo’s Oobie-flipping “Spin Bout U.” A video production date of Jan. 29 for the Meyers-directed entry was revealed in an Instagram Stories update in the days leading up to its release. Meyers, of course, is known for an extended videography that also includes recent work with SZA and Megan Thee Stallion.

Meyers has also previously worked with Drake, including the videos for “Laugh Now Cry Later” and “Way 2 Sexy.”

See the new video for “Spin Bout U” in full up top. We open on a shot of a presumably expensive boat, with 21 inside at a table adorned with fruit. Drake, meanwhile, is seen enjoying the fresh ocean air on the boat’s deck above. However, things take a turn when the duo’s decision to rescue a woman from the water is revealed to have been part of an elaborate plot to rob them.

For Drake, “Spin Bout U” follows the mid-January release of fellow Her Loss video “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” directed by Tristan C-M.

21, meanwhile, is fresh off being named the best rapper of 2022 by Complex. When speaking with Jordan Rose about the distinction, 21 also shared some insight on how Her Loss came to fruition.

“This is like a real album you can ride to from top to bottom, that’s what I was thinking in the club,” 21 recalled of first hearing the finished project from front to back. “I just remember feeling proud of him because he put it together the right way, from the tracklist and everything. [Lil] Yachty too, because Yachty helped a lot.”
