Dr. Dre has reportedly been ordered to pay more of Nicole Young’s attorney fees as the former couple’s heavily publicized divorce case continues.

Per a report from the Blast, the judge in the case has issued a temporary order detailing the amount of support Dre is required to pay. In addition to spousal support, the report states, Dre has been ordered to pay an additional $1.55 million in attorney fees. By the Blast’s figures, that means the total cost for Young’s legal team is now over $4 million.

According to the Tuesday-published report, the order states that employing top-tier legal professionals is “reasonably necessary” for this case, meaning the associated hourly rates are also “reasonable and justifiable.” As for why Dre is paying the fees, that’s due to the determined “disparity” between his and Young’s income and assets. Furthermore, the amount named in the report is for costs through July of this year. It’s not clear what the expenses may look like as the case continues.

Complex has reached out to a rep for Dre for comment and will update this post accordingly.

Young filed for divorce from Dre in June of last year after more than two decades of marriage. At the time, Young listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the filing. The former couple have two children together, both of whom are now adults.

Earlier this month, Dre was reported to have filed a suit against Young, alleging that she embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from a company bank account. Previously, the artist and producer alleged that Young’s accusations of abuse were false.
