DJ Drama and Jeezy Link for New Song and Video “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya”

DJ Drama and Jeezy have teamed up for some undeniable magic once again, this time for the release of their new song and video "I Ain't Gone Hold Ya."

DJ Drama and Jeezy have linked up once again, this time for the truly memorable new song and video “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya.”

When teasing the then-imminent collab’s release on Instagram earlier this week, both Drama and Jeezy excitedly proclaimed that they were indeed “bacc at it.” Furthermore, the two noted, they stand in a unique position together as “the originators.”

For Drama, “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya” follows the unveiling of his guest-stacked “Forever” song and video, which Complex premiered back in July. The Kid Art-directed video for the track—which featured Fabolous, Jim Jones, Benny the Butcher, and Capella Grey—boasted a cameo appearance from KRS-ONE, who’s also sampled in the track itself.

In a recent interview, Drama opened up about where things stand at the moment with regards to previously reported issues between Lil Uzi Vert and Generation Now, pointing out that they remain “family” and have been in positive contact in recent months. Drama also criticized what he described as the narrative of Roc Nation having “saved” Uzi from the label, saying in an extended discussion with the New Rory & Mal podcast that the team “didn’t do nothing wrong” by them.

“All we did was help make [Uzi] a fucking superstar,” Drama said.

Jeezy, meanwhile, last rolled out a full-length with 2020’s The Recession sequel featuring Tamika Mallory, Yo Gotti, E-40, and more.
