Daphne Joy is a name you’ve no doubt seen in numerous headlines in recent years, not infrequently in connection with 50 Cent and/or Diddy-related goings-on.
Most recently, the actress and model, who also heads a fashion brand, shared a public statement in response to the leaking of an alleged sex tape that she says was made, and then shared, without her consent.
The video in question, per Joy, was also the subject of an alleged extortion attempt, with an unspecified media company said to have previously walked back release plans due to the footage being constituting “revenge porn.”

In 2024, Joy accused Fif of “evil actions,” including “raping” and “physically abusing” her, during their relationship. More recently, Joy issued a statement in response to the leaking of an alleged explicit video featuring Diddy and a sex worker.
“It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship, but as time passes and in my quiet moments, I realize that it was far from love,” she said, in part.
In the same statement, Joy also detailed how she says she first learned of the video’s existence.
“I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn’t give him the lump sum of money that they would leak it on the web,” she said. “I almost gave in to this demand and once I didn’t, this person eventually sold this tape to a giant media outlet. The media outlet called me one day and said they had the tape and asked if I had any comment before the release. It was the first time I ever fainted in my life.”
Joy continued: “Once the media company understood the tape they purchased was revenge porn and an extortion scheme, they backed off from broadcasting it. I know they are probably reading this and I want to say thank you for doing the right thing, even though years later, it’s come back to haunt me again.”
Daphne Joy makes headlines with DJ Akademiks interview
This month, Daphne Joy joined DJ Akademiks for an hour-long interview during which she was asked whether she has a certain “requirement” when it comes to penis size. Her response, expectedly, gained quite a bit of traction on social media.
“I would say that it’s really all about the motion in the ocean,” she said. “You saw what you saw, but you also saw something else.”
Speaking a bit more on the topic, Joy added that “strong emotions” for a sexual partner, in her opinion, can overcome any lack of endowment. Furthermore, “there are so many ways to pleasure one another.”
