Dame Dash claims Drake “disappeared” after making a multimillion-dollar offer for his Roc-A-Fella share.
Central to such talk, of course, has been Jay-Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt, at one point the subject of a court-blocked NFT auction. Things have been touch and go for the share's fate in recent months, with Dame at one point stating that Drake had made an offer.
In a recent America Nu Network video, Dame further claimed that Drake offered six million for the stake. He also alleged that there were no other “serious” offers, suggesting he was expecting more of a demand.
“At the end of the day, I don’t really understand it,” he said of New York State’s recently reported purchase. “My child support, I guess, will get paid. And in my mind, I wasn’t getting any of that bread anyway. If I could sell it, I thought people really loved homeboy, pause, way more than they did. People did not show up. Drake did put a bid in for six million but then he disappeared.”
Dame continued, “I’m like, damn, pause. I don’t know what happened. But other than that, no serious people. No one wanted that shit. Period.”
From there, Dame questioned whether the album had been overvalued, though he’s ultimately grateful he doesn’t have to “be mad about it no more.”
Drake, of course, has not publicly addressed any of this. Earlier this month, He made a surprise (but probably should have been expected) appearance at Latto’s Honey Iced Tea Tour stop in Toronto. The two performed “Housekeeping Knows,” notably at a venue the 6 God himself launched back in 2021 in partnership with Live Nation.
