Boosie Badazz Responds to Ye's 'Smells Poor' Diss: 'Mouth Smells Like a Ham & Cheese Hot Pocket'

Boosie also told Ye to "watch what you tweet."

Boosie Badazz, as expected, has responded to the artist formerly known as Kanye West saying he “smells poor” during a recent stream with Digital Nas. Previously, as you may recall from this report, Boosie said he felt “bad” for Ye following his cousin confession, though it wasn’t immediately clear whether those exact remarks had anything to do with the latest from Ye.

“I know that n***a smell poor, and I ain’t never met him,” Ye said, as seen in the clip below. “That n***a smell poor. You know, that n***a is poor."

Agreeing with an off-camera assertion that Boosie should “stop talking shit,” Ye continued.

“That’s what he’s there to do,” he said. “They took a piece of shit and made him talk shit. He’s a piece of shit, he’s talking shit. By the way, Boosie, you’re all a part of this.”

On X, Boosie urged Ye to “chill.” Within hours, he had elaborated further, accompanying an all-caps statement with an explicitly edited photo that we can’t include in this article.

“I SMELL LOL NEVER,” Boosie wrote. “YOUR MOUTH SMELLS LIKE A HAM N CHEESE HOT POCKET WHEN IT COME OUT THE MICROWAVE. WHAT U NEED TO DO IS WATCH WHAT U TWEET BRO.”

From there, Boosie referenced Ye’s sons and mocked his aforementioned cousin confession.

If you’re wondering whether this is the inaugural instance of Ye and Boosie exchanging words, it’s not. Just over a year ago, Boosie took issue with Ye saying he “invented every style of music of the past 20 years,” with Ye specifically highlighting the impact of his 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak. As Boosie put it, Ye “can’t relate to nothing I rap about.” Boosie also argued that “nobody listens to Kanye in the projects or the trenches.”

Ye was quick to respond by tweaking his statement to exclude a certain Boosie track.

“I just saw that ‘Wipe Me Down’ was made in 2007,” Ye said in March 2024. “I take no responsibility for whatever that genre would be called.”
