The estate of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown who tragically passed away at the age of 22 in July, has reportedly filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon. Gordon, who shared a home with Brown in Atlanta, is accused of beating Brown during an argument before serving her a "toxic cocktail" and placing her face-down in a bathtub.
According to WXIA, the estate's court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove revealed the new accusations in an amended complaint added to the previously filed lawsuit against Gordon, which already accused Gordon of battery, assault, infliction of emotional distress, and transferring money from Brown's account to his own without proper authorization:
The amended complaint also provides more details of Gordon's purported actions, including the revelation that he installed multiple cameras throughout their home to spy on Brown's day-to-day routine while he was away. "This was all part of a scheme to control Bobbi Kristina and benefit from her wealth," states the suit. No cause of death has been determined in Brown's passing, with those close to the determination process confirming that proving any wrongdoing may be difficult given the large amount of time between the alleged altercation and Brown's death in July. "We do not plan to complete the death certificate or determine a cause and manner of death until all test results are completed and all investigative, medical and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed," the medical examiner says, according toCNN. Gordon vehemently denies all claims, and has reportedly "engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously."
On Monday, Bobbi Kristina Brown was laid to rest beside her mother in Westfield, New Jersey.
