For her second BeyGOOD scholars program, Beyoncé will award four Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with $25,000 grants.

One student from the selected universities—Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee, and Bethune-Cookman—will be hit with $25,000 for the 2018-2019 school year as part of the Homecoming Scholars Award Program. To qualify, applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Multiple fields of study are included.

"We salute the rich legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities," Ivy McGregor, Director of Philanthropy and Corporate Relations at Parkwood Entertainment, said in a statement Monday. "We honor all institutions of higher learning for maintaining culture and creating environments for optimal learning which expands dreams and the seas of possibilities for students." Winners will receive the good news on a date this summer TBD.

Over the weekend, Beyoncé effectively brought the planet to a full-on halt with a remarkable performance at Coachella in Indio, California. That performance, which saw guest appearances by Jay Z and Destiny's Child, is credited in Monday's Homecoming Scholars 2018 announcement as "the impetus to mark [Beyoncé's] second scholarship program."

Last month, on World Water Day, BeyGOOD's BEYGOOD4BURUNDI initiative received some massive support from Gucci in the form of a million-dollar donation to the cause. BeyGOOD is aiming to have safe drinking water accessible to more than 366,000 women and children by 2020. At the time of last month's Gucci news, 35 wells had already been built.
