Alicia Keys to Host This Year's Grammys

Keys was announced as the 2019 host by way of a video update on the singer's Instagram Story Tuesday.

If you're like me and were pulling for, say, Desus and Mero and/or Tom DeLonge to land the Grammys hosting gig this year, then you can join me in being shit out of luck. Still, Alicia Keys is a perfectly fine choice.

Keys was announced as the 2019 host by way of a video update on the singer's Instagram Story Tuesday. "There's so much in store and I CAN'T WAIT for y'all to see it ALL come to life," she said.

The whole thing goes down Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. 2019 Album of the Year nominees include Cardi B, Kacey Musgraves, Brandi Carlile, Drake, H.E.R., Post Malone, and the Black Panther soundtrack. Keys herself has bagged 15 Grammys, starting with her 2001 debut Songs In A Minor.

Keys' most recent studio album was her 2016 collection Here. The 16-track album featured the lead single "Blended Family (What You Do for Love)" and boasted contributions from Mark Ronson, ASAP Rocky, Illangelo, Emeli Sandé, and husband Swizz Beatz.
