Five years after bagging a hit with the original “Drowning,” A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Kodak Black have given fans a sequel.

On Tuesday, “Water (Drowning Pt. 2)” was released to all major streaming services, marking the latest A Boogie track to be shared ahead of the unveiling of his new Me vs. Myself album. In a conversation with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, also shared on Tuesday, A Boogie revealed that he knew what he needed to do as soon as he heard what would eventually become the beat for the “Drowning” continuation.

“I just throw with the same type of, not the same flow, but that same rhythm where you just ride the beat,” he told Lowe, adding that he believes the original “Drowning” collab stood as “a whole new start to something new” at the time.

Also on Tuesday, A Boogie rolled out the track’s official visualizer. See that below.

Me vs. Myself also boosts features from Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, G Herbo, H.E.R., and more. Earlier this week, fans were given a look at the full tracklist and back cover.

As previously reported, A Boogie decided to delay the rollout of the album in response to word that Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss would also be arriving on its would-be release date.

“I’m not with that,” he told fans when apologizing about the last-minute delay.

Look for Me vs. Myself this Friday.
