Few know their way around a headline quite like 50 Cent, who's at it again with some Jay-Z commentary and general Roc Nation brunch mockery.

During an appearance on the Flagrant podcast, Fif, whose slate of upcoming documentaries includes productions focused on Diddy and the UnitedHealthcare CEO murder suspect, cast doubt on the recently reported allegations against Jay. As readers will note, Jay has denied the claims against him in a suit in which Diddy also named, specifically zeroing in on what his legal team have highlighted as inconsistencies.

Still, 50 and Jay aren’t without their personal issues, though 50 mostly chalks them up to mere “competitive stuff,” with a few exceptions.

“He would do funky stuff like the Super Bowl,” 50 said. “There was not an okay for me to be at the Super Bowl. He didn’t want me there.”

50, of course, did indeed end up performing as part of the the Roc Nation-produced Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2022, with Eminem frequently credited as the reason why.

“It’s just competitive stuff,” 50 said. “When it gets past actual art, actual music, and you’re trying to block something that’s in business, then it feels weird. IT feels like we should be having beef.”

Later, 50 jokingly referred to Jay’s 2008 marriage to Beyoncé as the most important “contract” he’s inked in his career, asserting that the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder has “absolutely been treated differently” in the years since. This ultimately led to 50 poking fun at the slew of images of Jay at various Roc Nation brunch gatherings, with Fif jokingly offering his take on a Jay speech, of sorts, with “I’m not aware of anything going on here. This is the one time I’m gonna be with you n***as this year. … I feel like I’m normal again. Get me out of here.”

Fif has since commemorated the high viewership of his Flagrant episode, saying on IG, “Of course we are going to go viral.”

Next for 50 is a brief Las Vegas residency, billed as the In Da Club experience and slated to kick off on Dec. 27 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Last week, Fif made a cameo in the Dave Meyers-directed short film accompaniment to Dre and Snoop’s Missionary album. Watch the full thing here, then pair it with Dre and Snoop’s Complex cover story.
