50 Cent Reacts to Jay-Z’s Red Carpet Appearance Amid Lawsuit: 'LOL'

Per 50, his recent Jay mockery is all about "being competitive."

If you thought 50 Cent had said all he wanted to say about Jay-Z’s name being added to a Diddy lawsuit, you’d be profoundly mistaken.

Monday night, as previously reported, Jay joined wife Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy Carter on the red carpet for Mufasa’s Hollywood premiere. The public appearance came after Jay was accused alongside Diddy of raping a 13-year-old in 2000, with the swiftly disputed allegation at the core of a lawsuit headed by lawyer Tony Buzbee. While 50 had previously joked about the lawsuit with regards to its speculative impact on the Roc Nation-produced Super Bowl Halftime Show, his latest (and since-removed) social media commentary zeroed in on the red carpet appearance itself.

“Jay said, ‘They said I [raped] a kid, everybody get dressed. We going to see Mufasa.’ LOL,” 50 wrote on IG.

Meanwhile, a separate IG update from 50, and notably one seemingly spurred by the reaction to the since-deleted Mufasa red carpet commentary, saw the G-Unit Film & Television founder remarking, “You people report me every two seconds.”

50 also spoke about the lawsuit during a recent interview with Big Boy, specifically zeroing in on a statement shared to the official Roc Nation account on X over the weekend. In that statement, Buzbee is criticized as a “fraud,” with the final line establishing a defiant tone in response to allegations later slammed in a court filing as part of what Jay’s legal team has characterized as attempted extortion.

“I look forward to showing you just how different I am,” the statement reads.

Asked about it during his conversation with Big Boy, as seen below, 50 cited it as what he believes is an example of two lawyers ramping up the combativeness between each other.

“The statement, you could tell it was written by a lawyer,” he said. “Because there’s a point where it kind of gets aggressive. It says, like, ‘you’re gonna find out how I’ll handle this.’ That’s an attorney wanting to be combative with another attorney.”

As for 50’s recent Jay mockery, he chalked that up to mere competitiveness.

“It’s just being competitive,” he said.

As for the current status of the lawsuit, both Jay and Buzbee have issued statements amid the flurry of media attention. Monday, it was revealed that Jay’s legal team had filed a motion to deny the Jane Doe in the case’s request to proceed anonymously.
