When MTV decided to restart their emerging artist program a few months back, they really picked the right person to get it going.
Khalid is the MTV Push: Artist to Watch, as the program is called, for all of July. That means the channel will be featuring exclusive performances and interviews throughout the month.
It's still early, but perhaps the best part is a stripped-down performance of "Young Dumb & Broke."
Khalid also spoke to the channel about a bunch of stuff, including his admiration for his soon-to-be tourmate, Lorde. "Lorde is one of my biggest influences when it comes to songwriting and music," he admitted.
