After an intensely polarizing few months in the spotlight, Lana Del Rey has announced plans to pursue a new career. In an interview with the Australian Vogue, the singer/songwriter noted that she’s becoming a screenwriter.
“When I was starting, I had a vision of being a writer for film and that’s what I am doing now. I’m so happy,” says Del Rey. “Hopefully I will branch into film work and stay there. That will be my happy place. I’d like to stay in one place for a long time.” There’s no word yet on when a Lana Del Rey-penned film will see the light of day.
