Last night, Matthew Weiner's Mad Men began its seventh—and final—season. The premiere episode, "Time Zones," featured music from era-appropriate acts like Vanilla Fudge and the Spencer Davis Group. Which is cool. It would've been distracting if Don's walk from his plane to greet Megan had been soundtracked by Future and Kanye West's "I Won." But that doesn't mean it wouldn't have captured the moment.
