Justin Timberlake's New Album Could Be Coming Around Super Bowl Time

Looks like JT might just be dropping something soon.

It looks as though Justin Timberlake might have some new music in the works. TMZ reports that he's recently trademarked the phrase "Man of the Woods" as well as "Fresh Leaves." Album title and lead single, perhaps? According to TMZ, Timberlake will allegedly be using his newly trademarked phrases for a variety of things, from CDs and DVDs to hats, robes, jerseys, and tees.

With JT's recent announcement that he will be the official headliner for the Super Bowl LII Halftime Show in February, it makes sense for him to have an album in the works. Sales for Super Bowl performers typically skyrocket post-performance, so it's a smart move on his part.

It's about damn time, too. Timberlake's last solo project was The 20/20 Experience which came out in 2013, and while I'm totally down for a nostalgic medley of "SexyBack," "My Love," and "Señorita" at the halftime show, it would be pretty exciting to see him unveil some new material at one of America's most televised events of the year. Just, you know, watch out for those wardrobe malfunctions this time.

Until he makes any official announcements, you can catch Timberlake in Wonder Wheelout now, or see if he's still got the moves with Pharrell's dancer.
