Songs We'd Like To Hear On The Next DJ Khaled Album

Suffering from a tired formula.

DJ Khaled's seventh studio album, Suffering From Success, is in stores today and as much as we appreciate him as a character, his new songs don’t feel as fresh as “We Takin’ Over” did in 2007. His albums—or “movies,” as he would call them—have featured everyone from Jay Z and Nas to Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy to Plies and Trick Daddy. But what else is left that we haven’t already heard?

The success of Khaled’s mega-posse cuts has inspired collectives like Maybach Music Group, GOOD Music and YMCMB to follow a similar formula, which in turn makes Khaled’s new project feel a little less special. We’re not counting Khaled out; every once in a while, he’ll drop a smash like “I’m on One” to remind you that on his best days he is the Phil Jackson of hip-hop. Still, we can’t deny that we’re getting a little tired of hearing some combination of Rick Ross, Weezy, and Ace Hood on the same track over and over again.

To help refresh his repertoire, Complex came up with a few outside-of-the-box song ideas that we hope to hear on one of his next albums. Check out the list of Songs We'd Like To Hear On The Next DJ Khaled Album.

"Yeah, We're on Cash Money" f/ Caskey, Gudda Gudda, Paris Hilton, Shanell, Limp Bizkit, Chris Richardson, Christina Milian

DJ Khaled is on Cash Money so it would only be right to show some love to labelmates that most of us have either forgotten about (Limp Bizkit, Shanell) or didn't even know existed. If you've never heard of Caskey or Chris Richardson, don't feel bad—we only knew about them because of Cash Money's Wikipedia page.

"Victoria's Secret" f/ Justin Timberlake, Drake, Justin Bieber, & Robin Thicke

Justin Timberlake and Drake recently collaborated on JT's last project, but we're upping the syrup factor times infinity by adding Biebs and Robin Thicke to the mix. This will be the most hated and most loved song at the same damn time.

"Crossover Appeal" f/ Beyonce, Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, & Nicki Minaj

This song could be about anything and it would go No. 1 on almost every chart. Each of these females can deliver a pop hit while also appealing to the hip-hop community. Nicki raps, Beyoncé is married to Jay Z, Rihanna has worked with every prominent rapper, and Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey have been sampled plenty. If Adele had her voice back, she'd be on this, too. The main question: Is there enough room on the song for all of their egos?

"Windy City" f/ Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Chief Keef, & Lil Durk

It's due time that Khaled show the Chi a little love, and what better way than to group together some of the offbeat guys with the hardcore dudes. They're all in the same gang, yeah?

"Subway Series" f/ Action Bronson, Mobb Deep, 50 Cent, & Nas vs. French Montana, Fat Joe, Swizz Beatz, & Jennifer Lopez

Take the best artists representing Queens and the best from the Bronx and pit them against each other on wax. Just like when the Mets and Yankees play each other, this is all in the name of the sport. What's that? Neither team made the postseason this year? New York is dead? Oh well.

"Money Talks" f/ Diddy, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Birdman, & Dr. Dre

50 Cent, Jay Z, and Diddy appeared together on the "I Get Money (Forbes 1, 2, 3 Remix)" back in 2007, but it's been six years and it's time to make an updated track with hip-hop's wealthiest. According to Forbes, Diddy and Jay are still Nos. 1 and 2, but 50 has fallen to No. 5, and Dr. Dre and Birdman have grabbed the third- and fourth-place spots. This track would literally be worth over a billion dollars.

"Harlem Renaissance" f/ A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Ma$e, Diddy, Cam'ron, Jim Jones, & Juelz Santana

That's a lot of jigginess on one track, bruh. The music video could serve as a reminder that some of hip-hop's biggest style moments have come from Harlem MCs. Imagine this, but 2013 style. We can only dream.

"Ad-lib Kings" f/ Big Sean, Jeezy, 2 Chainz, French Montana, & Birdman

Swerve. Boiiiii. Ha-Haaaaaa. Ayyyyyy. 2 Chainzzz. Haaaaan. Brrrrr.

Rinse. repeat.

"IRS" f/ Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Nas, & Lauryn Hill

All these artists have run into trouble with the IRS in recent years and all (except Nas) have served jail time for it. In fact, Fat Joe is currently locked up for owing the government some money. Get ready for the angriest anti-tax rap song ever recorded.

"Kendrick" f/ J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electronica, Tyler The Creator, & Mac Miller

Kendrick asked for it—now Khaled should deliver it. We've all heard the "Control" responses from Papoose, Joell Ortiz and others, but a full-length track from everyone mentioned would be epic. It's really something that only Khaled could put together, anyway.

"G.O.A.T.S" f/ Eminem, Kanye West, Jay Z, & Nas

Twitter might shut down after this track leaks. With it being a Khaled song, at least nobody can make the "you got murdered on your own shit" accusation.

"No Verse" f/ Future, R. Kelly, T-Pain, & Akon

Flipping the idea from Jay Z's "No Hook" off American Gangster, this track would feature no verses, just hooks from some of hip-hop's favorite crooners. We might need a Nate Dogg hologram to complete the cipher.

"GOOD Meets Evil" f/ Eminem, Kanye West, Royce da 5'9", & Big Sean

Whatever the result of this song, we're pretty sure Sean will insist that he had the most impactful verse.
