Kanye West and Adin Ross apparently won’t be appearing on a livestream together after the rapper aired out a tense text conversation.
On Saturday, Feb. 8, Ye shared a post on X of a text exchange between himself and Ross where he told the popular streamer to refer to him as “sir” and spoke about Kai Cenat pulling the plug on having him appear on his platform. Ye then shared Ross’ alleged response where he followed suit and said he wanted to be Ye’s “favorite Jew” while adding not knowing why Cenat canceled.
Ye then flipped the script on Ross and didn’t appreciate being called “sir” multiple times, sensing the streamer’s sarcasm, while adding he would block him. The 47-year-old also went into an antisemitic tirade against Ross in his repost of the streamer’s response, captioning the post, “JEWS ARE ARROGANT AND THINK THEY CAN SPEAK TO ANYONE THEY WANT ANY KIND OF WAY THATS WHY EVERY JEWISH WIFE IS A BITCH.”
Ross replied, “Yea ggs. Drake better.”
Even though Ross won’t be getting on a live stream with Ye, he did manage to get Drake to participate in a livestream Christmas giveaway.
Earlier this weekend, the artist formerly known as Kanye West shared a post on X asking if Ross wanted to do a livestream. He spelled the streamer’s name wrong but got a swift response back confirming the potential talk. Many were ecstatic over the news, especially after Cenat pulled the plug on the stream with Ye.
Cenat had been planning a conversation with Ye for weeks but things fell through after the rapper went on an antisemitic rampage over the last few days.
“I’ve seen the tweets, I don’t know what’s going on bruh. I think it’s GGs. Look I think it is GGs,” said Cenat in a livestream.
The fallout comes after Ross publicly expressed his disapproval for Ye’s recent inflammatory anti-Semitic statements and other crude remarks, including advocating for the release of Diddy. Ross, who is Jewish, responded to a throwback photo of Ye in an anti-Nazi shirt, writing, “I’m Jewish, I’m not a bad guy. I love you Ye.”
Fellow streamer Hasan Abi also expressed disbelief over Ross wanting to stream with Ye amid his controversial tirade. Ross explained that Ye is his “favorite artist of all time” and despite disagreeing with his views, he’s “not afraid of the repercussions because this is what streaming is all about.”
