Xzibit has laid out a detailed picture of his financial situation in court filings tied to his ongoing divorce, revealing significant tax debt alongside his current income.
According to legal documents, the longtime West Coast artist says he owes hundreds of thousands to the state of California and an even larger amount to the IRS. Combined, the obligations exceed $1 million in unpaid taxes.
The filings also provide a snapshot of his earnings. Xzibit reported bringing in roughly $66,000 per month and estimated that his estranged wife, Krista Joiner, earns just under $13,000 per month.
Beyond the tax issues, the rapper says he is carrying substantial debt. He claims to have more than $1.4 million in personal liabilities, plus an additional $2 million in business-related obligations. At the same time, he lists his monthly expenses at over $23,000.
Xzibit told the court that much of his recent income came from touring and promoting new music, but he does not expect that level of revenue to continue long term. He also stated that he does not have major assets to offset his financial situation.
The financial disclosures are part of a broader dispute over spousal support. Xzibit has been making temporary payments but is now arguing that, given his current circumstances and his estranged wife’s own income, ongoing support should not continue once the divorce is finalized.
The couple married in 2014 and separated in 2021. They share a son and currently have joint custody, with Xzibit paying a little over $5,000 per month in child support.
