The Game is making headlines after appearing to issue an indirect warning to Adin Ross about coming to Los Angeles, a comment many online are linking to Ross’s recent criticism of Kendrick Lamar.

In a new clip circulating on Instagram, N3on asked The Game whether he was “cool with Adin,” explaining that the Kick streamer wanted to return to L.A. to film new content. The Game replied that he does rock with Ross, but only under one major condition.

“Adin’s got to check in first,” The Game said. “It seems like he’s coming out here and he’s thinking he gon’ do what he want to do. But this is L.A.”

The comment immediately set social media buzzing. While The Game never mentioned Kendrick Lamar by name in the clip, fans quickly connected the dots. Ross has spent the past month taking repeated shots at Kendrick during the rapper’s back-and-forth with Drake, accusing him of being overrated and mocking his music on stream. The criticism sparked backlash from Kendrick’s fiercely loyal L.A. fanbase, who have made it clear they aren’t amused.

The Game, a Compton native and longtime defender of Los Angeles artists, seemed to be responding to that energy. His “check in” remark echoed the unspoken cultural code often referenced in L.A. hip-hop circles that outsiders talking recklessly about local legends should tread carefully when stepping into the city.
