The upcoming Rolling Loud comedy officially made its debut in front of the festival that inspired it.
The teaser for the R-rated film, which is distributed by Ketchup and produced by Live Nation, premiered Friday night during the opening day of Rolling Loud at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, giving the live audience an early look at the chaotic father-son comedy tied directly to the massive hip-hop festival.
The movie stars Owen Wilson as an overprotective father who attempts to bond with his teenage son by sneaking him into Rolling Loud. Things quickly spiral when the father loses track of his son inside the festival, sending the pair into a wild adventure through the event.
Comedian and actor Matt Rife also stars in the film alongside Christian Convery and Christine Ko.
The teaser's debut happened during a packed first night of performances featuring artists including Don Toliver, Chief Keef, SahBabii, SoFaygo, and Nettspend.
Beyond the main cast, the movie also includes appearances from several major names in music and entertainment, including Travis Scott, Sexyy Red, Ski Mask The Slump God, Ty Dolla $ign, and Henry Winkler.
Production on the movie began in 2025 and included scenes filmed at Rolling Loud Miami, blending scripted comedy with the festival's real-life atmosphere. The project is reportedly inspired by a true story and aims to capture both the chaos and culture surrounding one of hip-hop's biggest live events. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 2.
